Since 2005, Stories of Autism has matched professional photographers with children and adults on the autism spectrum to create fine art portraits to increase awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of those with autism spectrum disorders. Each portrait is accompanied by a short narrative written by a parent, friend, guardian or even the subjects themselves describing how autism has affected their lives. The work is then exhibited in the Stories of Autism online gallery and may also be shown in some of their live exhibitions.
I have been accepted into this program and I would love to donate my time and talents to this project but I need someone to photograph. There is no cost to participate and all subjects will receive a free 8x10 print from their session.
