I am seeing A LOT of people who do not understand the very important difference in these two things so here goes a basic explanation.
When you give copyright release to a customer it means you no longer own the rights to the images. The client now owns the rights to the image and can go into picnik or some other such free basic editing program, butcher the image and say hey "so and so photography" took this image, go check them out. You just lost clients and that one picture can ruin your name. Also, you no longer have the right to have that image on your fan page, website, advertising, blog, nothing without the clients permission. That image is no longer yours, the client owns it and can do whatever he/she wants to it.
Print release on the other hand is an ok release to give to a client. When you give a print release you are simply giving a client the right to print the image. They do not own the image or have permission to do anything else to it.
You could also go for web release. Web release simply allows the client to post on social media, their blog, whatever your contract states. If you do web release I would advise putting your logo on these images and making them medium to low resolution files.
Please read and share this with others. This is an important bit of information to know and fatal to business when not understood.
